\u201cWe have a corner terrace built in 1865 in the heritage village of Newtown North. It is literally on the street with no front yard. People are forever looking through our front glass panels which display a limestone room bathed in sun and antiques, with an exquisite sandstone wall. Our front wall between the house and studio is in matching sandstone, also handcrafted by Steve.<\/i> People often knock on our door or slip notes under the door to ask –\u00a0Who did that sandstone wall?\u00a0 Was it constructed in the 1800s?\u00a0\u00a0Who was your designer? or\u00a0Is there still such a thing as a stonemason? \u00a0They are never quite sure if it is original or new.\u00a0 But it is eye-catching and something out of the ordinary. They agree that it is impeccably blended to the aesthetic of the home\u2019s architecture and the 19<\/i>th<\/i><\/sup> century streetscape.<\/i> We enjoyed working with Steve, since his style is to achieve a sense that we jointly create a living piece of art in the built environment.
